My birthday weekend on Grand Bahama was memorable and thoroughly delightful solely due to Hida! She provided a five-star tour! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Hida is an excellent tour guide. She knows every fact about Grand Bahama! She is an extremely personable person. The tour totally revolved around me. I asked Hida if I could go to mass, on Sunday, as a start to the tour. That certainly was not an issue!The conch fritter and conch salad demos were informative, fun, and delicious! (I also had conch chowder another day. 👍👍) I also enjoyed our visit to The Bahamian Brewery.The tour to the east of the island was peaceful. We had plenty of time to swim in the pristine (not cold!) Captain and skipper were amazing. We got to snorkel, dive for conk and catch fish on our private boat.

This was an amazing day out on the water with lots of fun, new experiences, memories and food!!! Milton and Simon were fantastic guides and took great care of us! We have young adults who aren’t easily impressed and are still talking about it weeks later. Missing Simon and Milton from the US and can’t wait to go back!

My husband & I had a wonderful time!!! Hida was an excellent guide, she was knowledgeable of the island, & very personable!! We learned many interesting things, from landscaping, different sections & neighborhoods, & of course delicious food. AND the Beautiful blue water was the star!!!

A fairly new type of excursion for me. Mature & Paced. Well executed from beginning to end, with a delightful infinity pool and hot tub at the beautiful beach at the end. Includes all you need for a perfect day on the island: shopping, a beer stop & a white sand beach!

Our cruise line did not have a shore excursion that included a tour of the Bahamian Brewery, so I booked this through Tripadvior. (We have always enjoyed Sands beer when we have visited Nassau so were looking forward to the brewery tour).We were met on time, right outside the port terminal by Pat, one of the company owners. As we drove to the brewery, Pat gave us an informal tour of the area.At the brewery we were given a twenty minute tour of the facilities, and then taken to the tasting room where we sampled 7 of their current products. After the tasting we were allowed an additional half hour to drink full sized glasses of our favorites. (It’s amazing how friendly everyone is in your tour group by the end!) There is also a well stocked liquor store onsite where my husband purchased a nice bottle of rum for much less than it would have cost in the states.After leaving the Brewery, Pat took us to a beautiful beach hotel. The turquoise water was warm and crystal clear. . Use of the beach and facilities are included in the tour.Following the beach we were dropped off at Lucaya Marketplace. Despite a number of empty storefronts, there were still plenty of shops for browsing, as well as a straw market. (The island is still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Dorian so not everything has reopened.Pat had recommended Zorba’s in the Marketplace for lunch and we were not disappointed. They specialize in both Greek and Bahamian food. We opted for the Bahamian lobster tails, which were wonderful. The entree was served with two sides but also included a very fresh and tasty salad, and a HUGE, just out of the oven, dinner roll.Pat, picked us up at the appointed time for our ride back to the ship. We enjoyed our day in Freeport, thanks to Pat.

This is a great tour. Getting a chance to catch fish, snorkel a beautiful reef, sit on a nice beach and eat a great fresh seafood meal all in one tour was really fun. The kids loved getting to dive underwater to grab a conch. The guides were fantastic and helpful and friendly. I would definitely do this, again. Craig M

Simon and Milton did an amazing job, siteseeing, snorkel, deep sea fishing and cooking right on the boat 10/10 recommend them and would go again!

Excellent time spent. We loved the guide who explained very well and provided context about the communities we visited.

Great laid back tour with a little of everything. Loved the beach break stop where you could choose to go in the ocean or sit at shaded tables with food and drink.

Overall this was a great experience! A couple of hiccups, but certain circumstances led to them. Hida is a great guide with a wealth of knowledge of her island. I booked this excursion because it was "Personalized and Unique". Not a ship excursion, or one that we were pushed into once arriving at the dock. This was prearranged and it was "only" my husband and myself. When you do an excursion like this you can gain much more information and even be able to work with Hida to adjust the day to things "you" really want to do and not just settle for the exact times and places preassigned by other excursion companies. Hida will make you feel very comfortable and runs her licensed tour company as a exclusive independent excursion that caters to her bookings. Unfortunately, Margaritaville's 3 night weekend cruise, puts you in port on a Sunday. BAD BAD schedule on the Cruise Companies part. Leaving out of West Palm on a Friday and having Saturday as a sea day and Sunday is port day is not well thought out. Sunday in Grand Bahama is their religious day and everything is closed and the sidewalks are rolled up. If the schedule was switched between Saturday and Sunday the tourists would be able to experience so much more the island has to offer. Also the change would bring more revenue to the island. With that being said, a few places we did visit included the Lighthouse, a new Art Exhibit of local artists, Dorsets Conch experience on the beach and a stop at a local restaurant for some conch fritters. We enjoyed the places we did see, but we were disappointed in the things we missed out on. I HAVE REBOOKED with Hida for a repeat of the same weekend cruise, cruising this time with a friend, and we will be adjusting the excursion sites and schedule to be even more personal to our wants and needs. I'm looking forward to ironing out the details with Hida soon and will repost again after the second time around. AGAIN, IF YOU WANT TO BE WITH ONLY YOUR PARTY AND CHOOSE YOUR DAY- BOOK HIDA! **This is not a paid advertisement! lol

Hida was a fantastic host for a wonderful day where she showed us the Garden of the Groves (she was so knowledgeable about the history of this location!), several local spots for shopping and local food purchases such as the bakery (recommend the Coconut Tart and their fresh bread rolls!), local farmers market, the brewery, and the market where we learned from Brenda how to make our own conch fritters! The day ended at a beautiful beach with great food. I highly recommend this tour as the host is a local, knew SOOOO much history about the Bahamas and tailors your experience to you and your family/frienda. We loved it!

Pat, our driver guide was very informative and personable! He took us to the Bahamian Brewery where we tasted several beers which were delicious. We also saw the production line for the Sands beer and that was very interesting. I would recommend this tour

Our family booked both the Catch’n Cook and the Jet Ski Tour, and my teenage boys couldn’t decide which was best! Both were amazing and full of surprises. The hosts, especially Simon, were great, friendly, and knowledgeable. The beachside fresh fish lunch was incredible, as was the snorkeling. Both outings were excellent, and our family made some lasting memories!
